Eau de Cologne and soap
Anemone Collection
The Impériale cologne and its soaps dressed in painted anemones, ivory and gold.
The presentation
The Anemone Collection places the familiar Impériale flacon and the Savon de Luxe soaps in ivory cartons strewn with painted anemones — red, deep pink and violet blooms among fine grey-green foliage, finished with the crowned Boldoot name in gold.
It is offered as single pieces and as a flat satin-lined gift box holding one flacon with two wrapped soaps, so the whole ritual can be given at once. The fragrance inside is unchanged: the bright citrus, rosemary and orange-blossom cologne accord of the house.
Historical context
Flowers have long belonged to Boldoot's printed language: the house grew out of an Amsterdam pharmacy of 1789 whose cologne was bottled, boxed and labelled with the decorative care of its period.
Where the Impériale line keeps its deep blue and gold, this presentation takes the lighter, floral register Dutch cologne houses used for gift goods. The collection itself is a new expression of that tradition.
